Heart Lines
AT ONLY NINETEEN YEARS OF AGE, NOAH WAS THE RECIPIENT OF A HEART TRANSPLANT.
Four years later, Noah decides to make a video about his heart transplant experience. He reflects on his journey through despair and recovery and expresses his deep gratitude for a second chance to have a healthy life. Noah hopes that one day the video will be viewed by the family of his heart donor.
Although Noah and his donor never meet, the interconnectedness that exists between them is ever present. An undefined, almost spiritual bond.
Interspersed between Noah’s straight-to-camera monologues, are scenes of a group of fun loving and carefree university students whose lives play out in stark contrast to Noah’s diminishing quality of life. The connection that exists between the students and Noah unfolds and deepens as the play nears its conclusion.
